88% of Mexican Internet users will buy during the Buen Fin
This is the data obtained through the study: 88% declare that they will make some kind of purchase during these dates, especially the younger target (up to 34 years old). In addition, of that 88%, 37% say they will buy more than last year vs. 21% who will not increase their purchases and 42% who do not yet know what they will do.
According to the conclusions of the study, Buen Fin shoppers follow a planned purchasing model:
48% write down the prices of the products they are interested in in advance, to ensure that they really have a good discount (especially for middle-aged people).
44% look for the best deal on the products they really want.
Only 8% are swayed by the bargains they find, especially the younger ones.

Social media, key to influencing purchasing decisions
6 out of 10 people say that their purchases will be influenced by advertising on these dates, especially among younger people. The most influential advertising sources are: Social Networks and TV.
Promotions are known through online advertising (Internet; 57%), Social Networks (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.: 57%), especially among the youngest, and through information on the brand's website and online stores (43%), also highlighting the youngest.

According to the data obtained from the study, the categories in which greatest penetration is expected are:
Technology (49%): especially among the male target (61%) and younger people (53%).

Fashion (33%); especially among female audiences (41%) and younger people (42%).

22% will make more purchases during Buen Fin than at Christmas
Mexican Internet users who shop during Buen Fin believe they will spend more at Christmas than at Buen Fin, but 22% will still buy more during the latter. 39% will buy more during Christmas and another 39% will do so in a similar way in both cases.
The estimated spending on Buen Fin is around $2,348 MXN , being higher among men than women ($2,502 MXN men vs. $2,198 MXN women), and among the most senior people.

The combination of channels prevails: 50% online, 50% offline
Buen Fin shopping will combine the on and off channel: half of the purchases will be online and the other half offline, under the same pattern of behavior:
3 out of 10 will buy it directly on the web
2 out of 10 will go to the store and buy it online
2 out of 10 will see it on the web, but will end up buying it in the store
3 out of 10 will buy it in the store
Of the 50% who will buy online, they will do so mainly through a smartphone or tablet, and only a third will do so through a PC, especially the older ones.

A fact worth highlighting is that only 7% of purchases will be made through social networks.
